After a successful winter season, Itaka announces charters for the summer season of 2026

The winter charter season at Olsztyn-Mazury Airport is coming to an end — next Tuesday, 24 February, the last passengers will return from Marsa Alam in Egypt to Szymany. The connection, offered by Poland’s leading tour operator Itaka, enjoyed very high popularity, as confirmed by an excellent average aircraft load factor of as much as 95%. At the same time, holidays departing from Olsztyn-Mazury Airport for the Summer 2026 season are already available for sale. These include well-known and popular holiday destinations: Antalya in Turkey and Tirana in Albania. Flights to both destinations will be available from 18 June 2026 and will operate on Thursdays.

Albania is one of the fastest-growing holiday destinations in Europe. Tirana serves as an excellent base for relaxation on the Adriatic and Ionian Seas, offering a combination of sunny weather, beautiful beaches, mountainous landscapes and charming towns. The country also attracts visitors with the hospitality of its residents and a very attractive price-to-quality ratio.

Meanwhile, Antalya in Turkey has for years remained one of the most highly valued family destinations. The region is known for its extensive hotel infrastructure, wide beaches, guaranteed sunshine and a rich range of attractions for both children and adults. It is also an excellent place for travellers who, in addition to all-inclusive relaxation, want to explore the unique historical sites and natural landscapes of the Turkish Riviera.

“Cooperation with regional airports is part of our strategy. Departures ‘close to home’ increase travel comfort and, as a result, customer satisfaction with the entire trip. Thanks to our cooperation with Olsztyn-Mazury Airport, our offer becomes even more accessible to residents of the city and the region, which customers will certainly appreciate. In Olsztyn, we have both our own branded offices and trusted agency partners, for whom the new connection to Albania also means growing interest in our product. We were the first Polish tour operator to organise charter flights to Albania, so in addition to our experience in this market, we can offer customers the most extensive portfolio of offers and competitive prices,” comments Piotr Henicz, Vice President of ITAKA HOLDINGS.

“The interest in the winter charter to Marsa Alam has shown that residents of the region expect a wide holiday offer departing from our airport. For passengers, the convenience of travelling from Olsztyn-Mazury Airport is extremely important — stress-free, without long journeys to large airports, and in a friendly atmosphere. We highly value our cooperation with Itaka, which has been exemplary and consistently develops the charter offer from Szymany. At the same time, we are working to expand the charter network with new, attractive destinations in the coming seasons,” emphasises Wiktor Wójcik, President of the Management Board of Warmia i Mazury Sp. z o.o., the operator of Olsztyn-Mazury Airport.

In response to passenger expectations, Olsztyn-Mazury Airport offers parking at an attractive price — starting from just PLN 1 for travel agency customers. Additionally, the airport provides a dedicated check-in desk for families with children, improving the check-in process and increasing travel comfort for the youngest passengers.

Holidays departing from Olsztyn-Mazury Airport can be booked at www.itaka.pl, in ITAKA branded offices, and at selected travel agencies.
