From autumn this year, passengers will once again be able to use flights connecting Olsztyn-Mazury Airport with Dortmund Airport.
The connection will be operated from 28 October 2025 twice a week – on Tuesdays and Saturdays – offering passengers a convenient and affordable journey to Germany. The return of this route to the Wizz Air network will provide residents of Warmia and Mazury with direct access to one of the most dynamic cities in Germany. Tickets are already on sale on wizzair.com and in the Wizz Air mobile app – prices start from PLN 69.
Dortmund, located in the Ruhr region of Germany, combines a rich industrial history with a modern, vibrant city character. It is renowned for its dynamic cultural scene, football tradition and strategic location near metropolises such as Düsseldorf and Cologne. The city offers a unique combination of tradition and innovation – from world-class museums, through extensive green areas and a thriving business environment. It is an attractive destination for both tourists and business travellers.
The launch of the connection strengthens Wizz Air’s route network from Poland and reflects the airline’s commitment to offering Polish passengers affordable travel across Europe and beyond. With almost 180 routes connecting Poland with 28 countries, Wizz Air plays a key role in improving accessibility and supporting the development of regional tourism.
The airline consistently supports regional airports, such as Olsztyn-Mazury Airport, strengthening its presence throughout the country. Since launching its operations, Wizz Air has carried almost 120 million passengers on routes to and from Polish airports, constantly growing. In 2025 alone, the airline launched many new connections, and the route to Dortmund additionally increases the accessibility of one of Germany’s most important economic and cultural centers.
Salvatore Gabriele Imperiale, Corporate Communications Manager at Wizz Air, said:
“We are delighted to offer passengers from the Warmia and Mazury region a direct connection to
Dortmund – a city rich in history, dynamic culture and modern character.
We believe that this route will provide affordable travel options for both leisure and business travellers. With our modern, fuel-efficient fleet, we can combine low
fares with comfort and care for the environment. We look forward to welcoming both new and returning passengers on board our aircraft.”
“The resumption of the connection with Dortmund Airport is great news for both our passengers and the entire Olsztyn-Mazury Airport team. This route enjoyed great interest and was of great importance for the residents of the region and travellers from Germany. We would like to thank Wizz Air for its willingness to continue cooperation and we hope that it will also result in new destinations in the future.” – says Wiktor Wójcik, COE of the Management Board of Warmia i Mazury Sp. z o.o., the operator of Olsztyn-Mazury Airport in Szymany.
“The decision of the airline Wizz Air to restore flights to and from Dortmund is proof that a consistent
policy of developing regional transport is bringing results. Olsztyn-Mazury Airport is our gateway to the world and we are pleased that despite the challenges we have managed to maintain good relations with a carrier that sees the potential of Warmia and Mazury. This is an important step towards further strengthening the communication accessibility of our province,” emphasizes Marcin Kuchciński, Marshal of the Warmia-Masuria Voivodeship.
